Year-End & Planned Giving
As you plan your year-end giving, we encourage you to consider these three ways to donate that may benefit you while supporting our children and families.
Make a donation through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF).
If you have a DAF, please consider making a donation to Blessing House through your fund that comes directly to us. Our Federal ID#: 30-0130029.
If you don’t yet have a DAF and are interested to learn more about them and the benefits they provide, please contact your financial advisor or call Donna at 440-240-1851.
Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) through your IRA account.
Direct distributions from an IRA to Blessing House by donors over age 70 ½ are not taxable. Making a direct distribution supports our children and families in a tax-efficient way and also counts toward your required minimum distribution (RMD). Please notify Blessing House at: info@blessinghouse.org when making a direct distribution.
Donate appreciated stock.
Donating appreciated stock that you have owned for longer than one year allows you to qualify for an income tax deduction and eliminate any tax on the appreciation.
Legacy Gift Planning
Invest in the children of the future through a legacy gift made through your will. Legacy gift planning allows you to support the causes that are important to you, making an impact that may extend for generations. Blessing House encourages you to contact your financial advisor, tax accountant and/or attorney to seek professional advice regarding the tax and legal effects of these gifts. Tax benefits vary according to each individual’s circumstances.
Thank you for being “Part of the Heart” that is Blessing House, bringing help, healing and hope to our children.
