When We Can Help

 When should you call Blessing House for help?

 

When you or someone you know:
·         Receives an eviction notice and has no safe place for his or her children to stay.
 
·         Has no gas, water or electricity available in his or her residence.
 
·         Is living in a residence that is temporarily unsuitable or unsafe for his or her children (unsanitary conditions, insect infestation, repairs in progress)
 
·         Has legal commitments/difficulties and no safe place for his or her children to stay. (Including incarceration, custodial problems, outstanding warrants)
 
·         Is trying to leave an environment of domestic violence, especially if he or she is unable to get assistance through other resources and has immediate concerns for the safety of his or her children. 
 
·         Is concerned about the safety of his or her children because of neighborhood violence.
 
 
 
 
·         Is being admitted to a hospital and has no reliable adult to care for his or her children.
 
·         Has a family member with an illness that requires his or her immediate attention and there is no reliable adult to care for the children.
 
·         Is experiencing a high level of stress and he or she or you are concerned about the individual’s ability to safely care for his or her children.
 
·         Is unable to safely care for his or her children because of involvement with drugs or alcohol.
 
·         Has a mental or physical problem that is keeping him or her from providing safe care for the individual’s children.
